M19 – Akimbo

Today we’re going to spend a few minutes to show you how to unlock the Akimbo Perk on the M19 in Modern Warfare and share some loadout tips.

Unlock M19 Akimbo

In order to unlock Akimbo on the M19, you will need to equip the “Frangible – Wounding” perk which is unlocked at Weapon Level 6. You will then need to get 3 kills with the M19 while that perk is equipped in 5 different matches.

After Unlocking Akimbo, it will take up one of your 5 attachment slots, which really isn’t a big deal. Since you can’t aim down sights, you won’t be needing an optic, so if you typically run an optic on your handgun you can swap that out. Additionally, since you can’t ADS when using Akimbo, you can sub it for an attachment that you are using to ADS faster.

As for Loadouts with the Akimbo Perk equipped, here are some tips for our preferred loadout.

This loadout focuses on having max ammo, hip fire accuracy using the 5mW Laser, and fire rate with the Lightweight Trigger. To make more of a stealth build, you could sub out the XRK barrel for the monolithic suppressor.

I found the akimbo option to be extremely effective with the M19, as it basically doubles the ammo you can unload into an enemy. Additionally, the enemies have almost no time to react since you are hipfiring. You have to be pretty up close and personal for it to be effective though. Anything past probably 10m, and you’ll struggle to be effective.

These tips will help you to unlock the M19 Akimbo Perk and allow you to have fun and be successful when using it.
