CR-56 AMAX

With Season 4 of Modern Warfare & Warzone is the release of the CR-56 AMAX Assault Rifle. It is unlocked at Tier 31 as a free weapon available as part of the Season 4 Battlepass. Note that this weapon is basically mirrored after the Israeli Galil Assault Rifle.

The CR-56 AMAX is available at Tier 31 in the Season 4 Battlepass and it has a weapon max level of 68.  Be sure to see our Weapon guide for information on which attachments help with recoil control for the CR-56 AMAX.

Right now, what we know is that Stats wise, the CR-56 AMAX looks to be very similar to the AK-47 in Damage, with a slightly higher Fire Rate as well as ADS Speed, which offers some very Fast TTK’s. With 0.097s TTK to the Head and .194s TTK to the Chest. We will do the Recoil Control profile compared to the AK-47. If the Recoil is tight, this may be one of the new, very powerful weapons in the game.

The CR-56 has a new Ammo, the M67, which is a 10 Round Magazine, but basically turns the gun into a Marksman Rifle, with 1 shot Headshot Kill potential and Higher Damage. The penalty is the low Mag Size. This attachment basically turns the gun into a hybrid of the FAL and SKS, and frankly, both guns outperform the CR-56 at most damage ranges for base multiplayer.

One important note with the M67 ammo though for Warzone, because it is Assault Rifle ammo, you can carry a substantial amount more ammo, than you can with a DMR, and the recoil is fairly manageable. Due to that, the CR-56, with the M67 Ammo is highly viable in Warzone!

Recoil Study

Recoil is very similar to the AK-47, but kicks Left, not Right like the AK. The M67 Ammo has very little Recoil, as it it turns the gun into a Semi-Automatic weapon. The M67 is best used in Warzone.

Loadouts

Here are a handful of loadouts we tested for a variety of playstyles or game modes.

Loadout 1 – Recoil / Accuracy Loadout

Loadout 2 – Balanced Build, with extra ammo and fast reload

Loadout 3 – CR-56 AMAX Warzone Loadout

You can also swap over and use the M67 ammo as opposed to the 45 round and use the gun more like a DMR for Warzone.

Loadout 4 – Fast ADS & Mobility build

Loadout 5 – Another Balanced build with decent recoil control

Camoflauge Requirements

These are the requirements if you’re looking to max each camo pattern.  Complete all of the following to unlock the Gold Camo for the CR-56 AMAX. 

1. Spray Paint – 800 Kills
2. Woodland – 125 Headshot Kills
3. Digital – 160 Crouching Kills
4. Dragon – 75 Hipfire Kills
5. Splinter – 100 Longshot Kills
6. Topo – 100 Mounted Kills
7. Tiger – 180 Kills w/ 5 Attachments
8. Stripes – 50 Kills Shortly after Reload
9. Reptile – 110 Kills with 0 Attachments
10. Skulls – 35 Kill 3 Enemies w/o Dying

Keep in mind you can only complete the objective after unlocking the pattern.
