Modern Warfare has 10 Standard Camo Patterns, and 1 Completionist Set, that are unlocked as you rank up each of your weapons. These 10 Standard patterns all unlock in the same progression, however, depending on the Weapon Class, the unlock requirements may be different. Below you will find a variety of information about the Camouflage Requirements in Modern Warfare.
The Completionist Camo’s are Gold, Platinum and Damascus.
Additionally, the game offers a variety of blueprints through the Battle Pass, or the Store purchases, that are above and beyond the standard Camo patterns unlocked as you level up your weapon. Here is a link to our Blueprints Page.
Here are the 10 Standard Camo Patterns you will get as you level up.
- Spray Paint – Unlocks at Weapon Level 2
- Woodland
- Digital
- Dragon
- Splinter
- Topo
- Tiger
- Stripes
- Reptile
- Skulls – Unlocks when Weapon is at Max Level

Camo Patterns and Pattern Names
See the Below image for the names of all the Camo Pattern Variants. Variant 1 unlocks when you unlock the Camo Pattern and Variant 10 unlocks when you have satisfied that that Patterns Max requirement.
Complete all 100 Camos for a Weapon to unlock the Gold Completionist Camo.

Tips for Unlocking Camos
Your first goal to unlocking all of the Camos is to get your weapon to its max level as fast as possible. Take advantage of Double Weapon XP events when they arise. By this point, you may have even maxed one or two of the patterns just based on your play style alone.
Either way, you want to focus on satisfying as many requirements as you can with every kill. Several of the categories are as follows: Headshots, Longshots, Mounted, Hipfire, Crouching, Double Kills.
Kills that Pair Well together:
- Crouching, Mounted, Longshots. If you hit a headshot, this 1 kill could count towards 5 patterns.
- Crouching Hipfire kills. Try this on small CQ maps like Shipment.
- Mounted, Longshots – With Sniper Rifles to also get the 1 hit kill.
Most of the methods are pretty cut and dry, however pay close attention to the Launcher and Melee Weapons as they in some cases require certain perks or field upgrades in order to unlock.
Completionist Camos
As we mentioned before, the Gold Completionist Camo unlocks when you finish all 100 camo’s for a particular weapon.
Platinum requires you to complete all weapons in a weapon class, and in order to get the highly regarded Damascus Camo, you will need to unlock every camo for every weapon, which at this point is over 3900+.
