Submachine Guns (SMG’s) of Black Ops Cold War
Submachine guns, or SMGs, are lightweight weapons well-suited for CQB engagements; consider these if you like to get close to opponents before firing, or on maps with tight interior spaces.
Typically, SMGs offer more speed and mobility than assault rifles, mainly due to their minor effect on movement, quicker aim down sight speed, and smaller hipfire spread. They also typically come with four magazines instead of an assault rifle’s standard three, as they will be expended quicker on average.
MP5
The MP5 is your go-to SMG for a reason. With a considerably fast fire rate, high mobility and manageable recoil, the MP5 excels at just about everything. This is a fan favorite for a reason.
Milano 821
The Milano 821 boasts high damage per bullet and low recoil, all in a compact package. It also has a manageable hipfire spread and 32-capacity mag by default. This unique combination of strengths ups its stats across the board, making it a versatile weapon for a variety of play styles.
AK-74u
As for the AK-74u, it too boasts an impressive damage profile. It fits a similar role to the Milano 821 as a flex between the first two primary weapon categories, although it has a faster fire rate and less damage per bullet.
KSP 45
The KSP 45 is a burst fire SMG. It boasts considerable damage and can be extremely deadly with a well placed burst to the upper chest and head. With solid recoil properties, one who can manage the KSP well, can manage the battlefield.
Bullfrog
The Bullfrog is your PP19 from Modern Warfare. It has a helical magazine which gives it more rounds than your normal SMG. With a fast fire rate and very high mobility, this can shred through enemies.
MAC-10
The MAC-10 is a devastating SMG with Short range power, kind of like the Uzi from Modern Warfare but better. Give this bad boy a try, you won’t be disappointed. Available in Season 1, or in Season 2 by getting 2 SMG kills in a short period of times in 15 different matches.
LC10
The LC10 is available at Tier 31 of the Season 2 Battlepass. I good mid range SMG, it excells at mid distance. Put on the SOCOM Eliminator and Field agent grip to mow through those enemies.
