Mobility Chart

Welcome to our mobility chart for Modern Warfare. Overall player mobility is determined by the weapon you select. The following chart is our means of measuring overall mobility depending on which weapon you are playing with. It plots player Movement Speed against Player ADS Strafe Speed.

The base movement Speed for handguns in the game is calculated at 100%. The other weapons are then compared to that criteria. Most assault rifles are around 93-95%, SMG’s 96-99%, with the Sniper Rifles and LMG’s in the mid 80’s to low 90’s.

Higher mobility weapons will be found on the upper right section of the graph. These are mostly Pistols & SMG’s. Lower mobility weapons will be found in the lower left and will typically be your LMG’s and Sniper Rifles. As we gather more data, we will update the chart accordingly.

Please note that updates to the Chart will be captured in the comments below.

Some General Comments

Skeleton Stocks – The Skeleton Stocks have a huge boost to ADS Strafe Speed. They used to also impact Movement Speed as well, but that was nerfed a while ago as it made the attachment to overpowered. Still, the PP-19 with the Skeleton Stock has an insane 75% strafe speed.

LMG’s & Sniper Rifle – Overall Poor Mobility. Yeah, we all know this, but keep that in mind when blindly running around with an LMG or Sniper Rifle.

Pistols & SMG’s – Overall High Mobility. Again, we all know this, but take note of a few SMG’s on the Lower side of the graph.

Xclusive Ace – Just want to throw a shoutout to XclusiveAce on YouTube. This is where we pull our mobility numbers from. We haven’t been able to find similar content anywhere else. It is also why the chart is only 90% or so complete and missing some weapons, i.e. shotguns. If you get a chance, visit his YouTube channel and subscribe.

We added the mobility data for the X16 Pistol and the Skeleton Stock attachments for the M13 & AK-47. Note that we adjusted our infographics for the M13 and AK-47 as well to remove the Movement Speed numbers which were stealth nerfed a while ago.

If I’m not mistaken, the Merc Foregrip is said to have a negative effect on ADS Strafe Speed. However, I cannot find that specific stat anywhere. Would you happen to know?

I don’t for sure, I could check, but it’s hard to measure pretty accurately. Now this is a flat out guess, but I’m going to say on the order of 5-10% decrease.

Hey Kenny, I did 2 separate tests with both the Grau and the AUG and got 11% worse. I strafed for 25m with both guns, no attachments and got 12.6s both times. With the Merc Foregrip attached, got 14s ADS Strafe time. 1.4/12.6 is 11.1%. It was a consistent 11% for both of the guns. It was a lot higher than I thought. Now due to measurement error, it could be lets say 10-12% worse.
