Rust Gameplay with Grau 5.56 and First Thoughts
So with the launch of Season 2 of Modern Warfare, I’ve had a brief chance to get in the game. We purchased the 20 tier skip so we could get a first look at the Grau 5.56 Assault Rifle on the new map Rust.
I have to say after an hour or so of play on Rust, I think it is my favorite map of all the maps so far. It isn’t a large map, but it’s not so small like shipment where you are constantly dying 10 seconds after spawn. On the whole, I felt like it was well balanced. There are interesting alleys through the center of the map as well as an opportunity for vertical gameplay for those willing to risk getting up high.
Some gameplay on Rust
As for the Grau 5.56 Assault Rifle, it seems as if it is a well balanced gun. I almost felt as if it played a bit like an SMG at times as the mobility seems to be pretty good on the gun, as well as the fire rate
I had no problems dropping enemies with it, but I did find myself running out of ammo quite a bit. It only has 30 rounds to start, with 60 in reserve and it seems to have a pretty quick fire rate. I haven’t seen all of the stats on it yet. It does have a 50 and 60 round magazine option, which look like they are probably going to be must have’s, at least the 50 round mag.
I’m working on the GRAU 5.56 Infographic and have most of the information on the Attachment Levels. The Grau 5.56 looks to have some unique Barrels, Rear Grips, as well as Stocks, that could create some interesting loadout options.
The other big thing to note with Season 2 is that they did a huge rebalancing of the perks. I’ll update my perks page with all of the new information.
