Model 680 – New Ammo Buff

With the new 1.18 patch, there was another stealth update to one of the weapons, this time, the Model 680 Shotgun in Modern Warfare.

The shotgun received 4 new ammo attachments:

• 12 Gauge 6-R Mags – Get 10 kills while prone and defending an objective
• Slug 6-R Mags – Get 5 kills in 5 different matches while aiming down sights and removing the stock attachment
• Dragon’s Breath Rounds – Get 15 kills shortly after reloading
• Dragon’s Breath 6-R Mags – Get 3 Longshot kills in 3 different matches while using the Scout Optic Class

The model 680 new ammo types can also be seen in our updated infographic which we have included below.

The Dragon’s Breath 6-R Mags needs the Scout Combat Optic in order to unlock it, and that attachment doesn’t unlock until weapon level 24, so if you haven’t leveled up your Model 680, you will need to do so before unlocking that particular attachment slot.

The early word on the street is that the model 680 new ammo slots are not gamebreaking, but can be a bit annoying with the Dragon’s Breath rounds. On the whole, it is something new which adds a new unexpected twist to the game.

If you thought Shipment was crazy before, just wait until a group of people using Dragon’s Breath start lighting everyone up. As with most things though, the newness will wear off and you’ll probably only see this in heavy use for the first week or so.
