Opening 100 Legacy Orbs

So, I purchased the 100 Legacy Orbs in Marvel Strike Force for $9.99. This is a pretty great deal in terms of this game. Now the questions stands, was it worth it?

To put that into perspective, each legacy orb costs 325 Power Cores. So, to open 325 Legacy orbs you would need 32500 Power Cores. In the Game store, you can get 8,630 Power cores for $99.99. Thus, this is close to $350 worth of Orbs for $10.

I took screenshots after every 10 orbs I opened, and tracked what I got in each Orb. Below is a summary of what I got out of the 100 Legacy Orbs.

Character Shards

In total, I got 570 Character shards. Each orb guarantees 5 shards, so the minimum is 500. You can see that I really didn’t get a whole lot of extra shards. In the entire group of 100, I only got 1 Legendary drop, 20 Kingpin shards. Below is a chart I made of what I got for every grouping of 10 orbs.

Important Drops for Characters I still need

30 Thor Shards | 30 Deadpool | 20 Dr. Strange | 25 Captain America | 15 Vision | 25 Ronan | 20 Scarlet Witch | 30 Yondu

Outside of those, I had many of the other characters at 7 stars which did end up netting me 2 Ultimus orbs, where I got 15 Psylocke and 15 Minn-Erva shards.

Gold

In terms of Gold, I got 600k total gold through all 100 Orbs, an average of 6000 gold per orb.

Purple Gear

I got 445 total purple gear. About an average of 45 purple gear for every 10 orbs that I opened.

Blue Ability Material

I got 1140 Blue abilityMaterials for an average of about 114 for every 10 orbs that I opened. I already have several thousand of these anyway, so there wasn’t much of a benefit here.

On the whole, there hasn’t been any other deal in the game where you can receive 400+ purple gear, 600k gold and 500+ character shards for $10.

Even though I got a lot of duplicates, I felt it was worth it on the whole.
