Apple Watch Series 6 Is Now Available
Where to Buy Apple Watch Series 6
Apple Watch Series 6 comes in blue, gold, black, and Product Red editions. It sports a new processor that makes it up to 20% faster than the Series 5. The biggest addition to the Series 6 is a new health sensor that monitors your blood oxygen levels. It also has an improved always-on display that’s 2.5 times brighter than in the previous model and a bunch of new faces.
Naturally, it also has all the sensors and features of the Series 5, so it offers ECG, fall detection, and multi-faceted fitness tracking. It’s available in GPS or GPS + LTE options. The difference is that you can make full use of the GPS + LTE model away from your phone. It comes in 40mm and 44mm sizes.
It ships with WatchOS 7, which has a number of new features. It has a new Sleep app that you can use to create a bedtime routine and track your sleep. It has new faces and workouts. It even has hand washing detection, and it can set a 20-second timer when it notices you begin washing your hands. For more information, check out our Apple Watch Series 6 announcement article.
Overall, Apple Watch Series 6 isn’t a massive upgrade over Series 5, but it’s definitely worth a look if you’re new to Apple Watch, or if you’re rocking an earlier model. And thanks to the faster processor speed, it’s more future-proof than any previous edition.
Speaking of, if you’re interested in a lower-priced Apple Watch, you now have two options. One is the new Apple Watch SE, which is similar to an Apple Watch 5 and starts at $279. The Apple Watch Series 3 is also still available, starting at $199 (though it’s currently on sale at Amazon for $169.
