The Tactical Map
The Warzone Tactical Map is readily available on mycallofduty.com/warzone, however we have taken the time to summarize this information in a variety of ways to save you time. Below you will find links to pages and other content we have done to help you start to quickly come up to speed.
We have prepared a series of pages about each of the 5 Sectors in Warzone with details on all the locations, and key points of interest. Visit these pages for more info about the particular sectors.
The 5 Sectors of Verdansk
Click on the Sector Names to see our Detailed Sector Pages, but make sure to come back as there is important info you won’t want to miss below.
Sector 1: Verdansk North
Verdansk North has 5 Zones and 83 Locations. Your best options for loot is in the Karst River Quarry Zone 1D, or the Lozoff Pass area near Burger Town in Zone 1E. If you’re looking for rugged wilderness terrain and broad vistas, this zone is for you.
Sector 2: Verdansk West
Verdansk West is ripe with loot in places like the Airport, Zhokov Boneyard and Storage Town, but expect some traffic. On initial drop, try to avoid the Junkyard and Airport Maintenance areas as there is little interior space, and not a lot of great loot points.
Sector 3: Verdansk Southwest
The Southwest sector is primarily Urban, with locations like the Hospital, Train Station and the East & West Promenades. This area is heavy with loot, cover, interior warfare, and is typically heavily trafficked. Be on the lookout as you walk the streets, but if you like Urban Warfare, visit this zone.
Sector 4: Verdansk Central and South
Verdansk Central and South is mostly dominated by the Downtown District, Zone 4D, a.k.a. Tavorsk District from Ground War. Outside of the Downtown area, there is little in the way of interior space or loot, so be careful. If you’re a fan of skyscrapers and interior combat, then this is your place. Your best chances for loot are near the Entertainment and Arts District, locations 34, 35 & 36.
Sector 5: Verdansk East
Verdansk East offers a lot of familiar locations like Port, Vacant, Krovnik Farmland and Karst bridge, and also hides 4 secret Classified locations. For loot, check the lumber yard, Vacant or the Prison, but be careful, there are not many interior spaces in this sector as much of it is farmland and open spaces. Be sure to hunt down a vehicle for movement.
What you Need to Know
In order to be successful, you want to understand the key locations in each sector. This includes knowing where the loot is, where buy stations are, where there are vehicles, and where there is good cover.
Location Spreadsheet
We have developed a spreadsheet that has listed out all 5 sectors, 45 zones and the 335 locations identified on the Tactical Map. Each location is rated according to 10 Rating Factors and each Factor is rated on a scale of 0 – 5, see the details below. There are some locations listed as CLASSIFIED on the Tactical map and have no information. Clearly these are intended for some other use, currently unknown.
Below is a screenshot of the Spreadsheet, click the image to open the file for your review.
The 10 Rating Factors
Each Location like we said before is rated on 10 Factors, as follows:
Size: How physically big the POI is, from 1 (cabin-sized) to 5 (a major building or city block).
Landmark: Whether the POI is easily distinguished as a landmark, from 1 (a nondescript or hidden shed) to 5 (an airport control tower, dam, or comms tower visible for miles).
Seclusion: How easily spotted the POI is, especially from the air or road, ranging from 1 (hidden in the woods, away from any roads or trails) to 5 (an easy-spotted structure).
Accessibility: How accessible the POI, ranging from 1 (off the beaten path or with entrances not immediately obvious) to 5 (a POI with many entrances, close to a major road or rail line).
Complexity: How involved an exploration of this POI would be, ranging from 1 (a small shed with no interior) to 5 (a multi-level structure within a city block of similar structures).
Verticality: How tall the POI is, ranging from 1 (a small or flat structure) to 5 (an immensely tall structure, like a comms tower or building with five or more floors)
Vista: The type of view from the top or roof of the POI (and therefore the long-range combat potential), ranging from 1 (a structure with blocked or poor line of sight) to 5 (a high roof with commanding views across the map).
Interior: Whether this POI has an interior you can access, ranging from 0 (no interior; all thresholds are sealed), to 1 (a small interior) to 5 (a massive, multi-level interior).
Cover: Whether you have a lack or abundance of cover opportunities, ranging from 1 (very little cover and large open spaces) to 5 (multiple cover options including floors, windows, and/or scenery to hide near)
Loot: The chance of quality loot expected at this location. Due to the random appearance of loot and Supply Boxes, this can vary wildly, and stats are only an approximation. This ranges from 1 (low loot or quality chance) to 5 (high and exceptional quality loot chance)

Summary
At the end of the day, you want to find locations quickly when dropping in that will allow you to effectively play to your style, and gather loot quickly. You will have great success in Warzone if you can quickly adapt to the drop location, and utilize all of the resources the Map gives you.
Case in Point, in our first Solo Match in Warzone, after having done detailed map reviews, we finished in 4th place out of 150 players.
Our drop point we selected was Zone 1E, Lozoff Pass Bank, which has a loot rating of 4, a buy station nearby, as well as an SUV. It was also out of the initial safe zone, so few people dropped in there. After dropping in, there was a gold loot chest in the back of the bank, where we found 2 legendary AR’s, an M4A1 and a FAL. Additionally, there was substantial cash and armor as well. So 2 minutes into the game, I was fully armored, with a short range M4 and a longer distance scoped FAL. That initial loot drop was enough to sustain us and finish 4th overall. The importance of a good first drop, and an understanding of the Map was critical to the Top 5 Finish. This one game alone net over 30,000XP.
