Weapon Types in Cyberpunk
Each of the Weapon Types in Cyberpunk 2077 are tied to a particular attribute and Perk within the Game. As you increase that attribute and Perk, you will increase your ability to strengthen your skills with that weapon type.
From the Attribute & Perk Tree, we can already see a variety of Perks suggesting different Weapon Types within the Game.

So far, the weapons below have been shown or verified to be in the game. There are some where we have seen stats for, and others, just glimpses of during the gameplay, but don’t have a name. We have also seen they mention Sniper Rifles, but haven’t seen any Sniper type Gameplay yet.
