Earning Unlimited Money – Cyberpunk 2077

Earning unlimited money in Cyberpunk 2077 is easily done one of two ways. The first way is an exploit using junk items and the duplication glitch screen, and the second way is by selling and rebuying the Brancesi painting over and over again. Both may be patched at a later point in time, but are still working as of now.

Earning Unlimited Money using the Exploit

The exploit utilizes the Duplication Glitch in the game. If you’re unsure of what that is, See our Post about the Duplication Glitch. This particular exploit can be done as early as level 1 or 2 in the game, which pretty much means you can have unlimited eddies from the start of the game, with any character.

In general, the way this works is that for any item you sell on the Duplication Glitch Screen, you will get the amount that item is worth paid out to you. If you have 1 item, you can sell it as many times as you want, but keep in mind you will only get as much as what the drop point has, which in most cases is $20000 Eddies.

Here’s how to take advantage of this very early in the game.

As soon as you have the ability to start exploring Night City and engaging other enemies and characters, you want to avoid the Main Job, and go hunt for the closest groups of enemies. Most likely, you will get them to drop a junk necklace or wristband which sells for $750. Once you get a junk item which you can sell for $750, go to a drop point and open the Duplication Glitch Screen. You can then sell this necklace around 30 times and get paid $19,500 Eddies. Go back into the drop point and buy back the necklace for $7500. Net profit of $12000. You can then skip time 24 hours and repeat the process as many times as you would like.

I usually start somewhere around $150,000 eddies. This allows your character to then purchase some Legendary weapons, pay Viktor off right away, equip some good cyberware, all at the start of the game, with a Level 1 or 2 Character.

Do Not Use the Scrapper Perk!

***There is one very important Note here. In the Crafting Tree, there is a perk called “Scrapper”, where you automatically disassemble Junk Items. Do Not use this perk, or V will automatically scrap those $750 necklaces and wristbands.

Later in the game if you choose to find the Painting, then you can utilize that perk, but until then, do not use that perk.

The Painting

The other common way people generate infinite Eddies is through the Painting, which is done by completing a Side Job called “Space Oddity”. Basically, once you have the painting, you can sell it for $4000, then repurchase it for $5, a net of $3995 each time you do the process. If you combine this with the duplication glitch, you can sell 5 at a time, or even more depending on how much the drop point or vendor has. This is the more traditional way, but isn’t available until a bit later in the game, closer to when your character is level 15-20 or so.
